The duo project "Explorations Beyond the Border" by pianist Rahul Wadhwani, who lives in India, with Austrian trumpeter Manfred Paul Weinberger, brings together culturally different artist personalities and thus different artistic positions. The common musical language is the basis for building and developing sound painting dialogues. The musicians' own compositions are woven into a concert program with special arrangements of jazz standards. The chamber music, lyrical, groove-oriented music can be experienced up close as a refreshingly inspired encounter between two free spirits.

Manfred Paul Weinberger came into contact with Indian musicians early on through his work as a trumpeter and composer. Above all, the collaboration with the choreographer Shama Bhate and her institute "NadRoop" produced exciting projects - "Treading The Unknown", "Dancing Ganesh" or the dance and orchestral production "KASTURBA" with forty artists involved. Wadhwani and Weinberger met in 2015 during a concert tour in India and slowly the idea for their interaction developed. Sharing experiences from two geographically and culturally very different points of view proved to be a highly inspiring process. Finding yourself again and again from this distance is enriching and fruitful as it were.
