Based out of Mumbai, Rahul Wadhwani is a promising Jazz pianist, arranger and a composer.

Wadhwani echoes the sentiment. “If you’re a poet, you can write a poem using complex vocabulary or simple English language,” says the pianist. “But you’re still writing poem.”
We spoke to some of our country’s most promising pianists and they were kind enough to let us in on their modus operandi when it comes to improvisation.
After completing his Jazz Piano education program from the LMS Gaspoltshofen, Wels and Jazz Theory/Ensemble program from Vienna(Austria), Rahul moved to Mumbai in 2016 and is travelling around and across the country doing various independent projects. He has performed with some of the finest musicians in the country, Sanjay Divecha, Shantanu Moitra, Ashwin Srinivas, Gino Banks, Samantha Edwards, Abbos Kosimov, Rasika Shekar, Akriti Kakkar, Rajeev Raja, Karl Peters, Rakesh Chaurasia, Mohini Dey, just to name few.
He has been working on his Solo Piano Project by composing music for it and arranging classic Jazz standards.
Rahul is Part of a Duo Project with one of the most renowned Trumpet player from Austria, Manfred Weinberger.
He has also done Jazz festivals and Public concerts in Russia, Mauritius, Dubai and Nepal over the years with different groups, has toured in Europe Playing his Solo Piano music and travels extensively in India. He was also teaching Jazz at The True school of music in 2018 and is now the Faculty at NMIMS along with Gino Banks, Sheldon D'Silva, Vasundhara V and other musicians and also has been conducting various music workshops in the country and in Europe.
